Oklahoma delegation votes yes.
Ignoring a White House veto threat, House Republicans Friday pushed through a bill to keep interest rates on millions of federal student loans from doubling for one year. All of Oklahoma's U.S. Representatives voted for the bill, including Democrat Dan Boren. The bill is paid for by eliminating a preventive health care fund in President Obama's health care law. Oklahoma Republican Congressman Tom Cole says it will help students deal with rising tuition costs without requiring taxpayers and businesses to foot the bill.
