Shelton calls for rules to be disapproved.

Representative Mike Shelton of Oklahoma City says he thinks a new A to F grading system for Oklahoma schools is top-heavy.

"What they have set up is a situation where it puts more power in the State Department of Education's hands, and less power (for) the parents and local administrators, and that's what we want to make sure is done," Shelton told KTOK.

He says he thinks a new plan should be developed.

Shelton plans to present a House Joint Resolution during Wednesday's House Administrative Rules Committee, calling for the A to F grading system rules to be disapproved.
