The suspect allegedly tried to set a man on fire.

Edmond police arrested a man this week after he allegedly poured gasoline over another man's head and tried to set him on fire Monday evening.

The victim got away from the suspect, 58 year old Timothy Beeson, by jumping into the lake.

Beeson tried to get away in a vehicle but was quickly pulled over by police.

Beeson has been booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of driving under the influence and attempted murder.
