Efforts by landowners reducing non-point source water pollution.
Agricultural producers and other landowners are doing well overall in reducing non-point source water pollution.
The Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts Executive Director Clay Pope says 11 streams are being removed from the Environmental Protection Agency's Impaired Waters List.
"You can solve these problems and do it in a way that's lower cost and more permanent. Because those best management practices aren't going to wear out like that water treatment plant will," Pope said.
The association says another 150 streams and stream segments are clean enough to stay off the E.P.A. list.
