Air travel, though, will be down.
The American Automobile Association projects an increase of 2.2% this year in the number of Oklahomans who drive to their Memorial holiday destinations, but officials say many will compensate for higher travel costs by staying closer to home or cutting entertainment expenses. At the same time, because of higher travel costs, it's projected that air travel will be down by 4.7% from the number of Oklahomans who flew last year over the long holiday week-end.
