Winner to be announced at State Fair.
State School Superintendent Janet Barresi Thursday announced the 2013 Teacher of the Year finalists who were selected by committees comprised of teachers, parents and community members. The winner will be announced at the Oklahoma State Fair in September and will receive more than $50,000 in cash and prizes. The finalists are Cindy Bailey from Altus High School (pictured), Carol Brinsfield from Checotah Intermediate School, Andrea Brock from Moore West Junior High, Daniel Buckmaster from Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, Kyle Cooper from Coweta Public Schools, Tiffani Cooper from Owasso Mid-High, Elaine Hutchison from Fairview High School, Lisa Lamont from Muskogee Public Schools, Kim Landers from Deer Creek High School, Lane Matheson from Tulsa Public Schools, Brenda Roberts from Byng Public Schools and Lee Ann Stone from Woodward's Early Childhood Center.
