Drought Expands

Entire state remains under severe-exceptional drought.

The lack of rainfall, strong winds and warm weather have combined to worsen the drought situation in Oklahoma. According to the latest Drought Monitor Map released Thursday the area of the state covered by 'extreme' exceptional drought..the worst category..has grown to 76 percent, up from 68 percent last week. The state rainfall average is more than 3 inches below normal.
