Happened on OKC's northwest side of town....
Oklahoma City Police say it began as a domestic disturbance call near NW 32nd Street and Penn Avenue right around 8:30 this morning, but that it turned into a confrontation in the street and an officer-involved shooting that left one person dead and the officer wounded.
OKC Police Capt. Dexter Nelson's been on the scene there since early this morning and he tells NewsRadio 1000 KTOK the officer arrived right around 8:31 a.m. and that one of the people involved in the domestic disturbance apparently got involved in some type of struggle with the officer...and the officer was forced to shoot the suspect.
Capt. Nelson says he's not certain as to the extent of wounds on the officer, but that the officer was walking when Capt. Nelson arrived.
The investigation's in its early stages, according to Capt. Nelson, and there's no word yet on the identity of the deceased suspect or the officer.
