Suspect was a convicted felon.....
Oklahoma City Police have reeased the name of the suspect shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting early yesterday on the northwest side of town.
OKC Police Capt. Dexter Nelson tells NewsRadio 1000 KTOK the suspect was 26-year-old Tristen Paul Anderson of Oklahoma City. Anderson was a felon with a history of arrests, including a reported conviction on possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Cashion and Youngs Blvd. when an officer responded to a domestic disturbance call and came upon Anderson brandishing a gun, which was later determined to be stolen.
Officer Anthony Franklin and Anderson struggled before Franklin was able to get off a shot. Anderson died at the scene.
Capt. Nelson says Franklin had some minor wounds from the struggle and is expected to be on administrative duty pending the outcome of the departmental investigation.
