By a vote of 7-2, the Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday approved a recommendation to build a bridge over Western Avenue as part of the future Oklahoma City Boulevard. Mayor Mick Cornett called it a great compromise but Councilman Pete White said we can do better. He voted against it, along with Councilman Ed Shadid. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will build the Boulevard, starting in about two years.
