Former Stillwater state senate leader could 've had jail time....
Stillwater attorney and former Oklahoma Senate President Pro Tem Mike Morgan has been sentenced to five years of probation after his recent bribery conviction in an Oklahoma City federal court.
Morgan was found guilty of accepting 12 thousand dollars from an assisted living center and trying to influence a bill that would have eased nursing home regulations.
Morgan could have received up to 10 years in prison as well as some fines.
Morgan maintains that all he did was to perform legal work in connection with the nursing home issues.
