Played 'Pokey the Puppet' for more than 25 years.
Bill Howard, retired stage manager for KOCO-TV and OETA, has died after a fight with stomach cancer. He was 77 and is best remembered for playing Ho Ho the Clown's sidekick, Pokey the Puppet. He played Pokey for more than 25 years. He began working for KOCO in 1960 as a page, then became a cameraman and eventually stage manager until his retirement in 1990. He then spent 7 years with OETA, also as a stage manager.
