Eight Oklahomans have died, says health department.
Since the start of the flu season on September 30th, the State Health Department says eight Oklahomans have died from the flu and 345 persons have been hospitalized. The deaths have been reported in Tulsa, Creek, Mayes, Muskogee, Pittsburg and Rogers counties. Hospitalizations have been reported statewide. Officials continue to emphasize that the best way to protect yourself against the flu is to get the flu vaccine.
