Dr. Jeanie Webb to replace retiring Terry Britton...

Higher education runs in the family for the new president of Rose State College in Midwest City.

Dr. Jeannie Webb has been named the college's 7th president once current president Terry Britton retires at the end of June.

Dr. Webb had been vice president of student affairs there at Rose State for 12 years.

Higher ed is, indeed, a family matter for Dr. Webb.  Her husband, Roger Webb, is former persident of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Dr. Webb has both a bachelor's and master's degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, and a doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University.  She was also a Kellogg Fellow at the University of Oklahoma, doing postdoctoral work at both OU and Harvard University.
