Oklhaoma City Archbishop says there is 'great joy'.

Oklahoma City Archbishop Paul Coakley calls it an occasion for great rejoicing. Cardinals meeting at the Vatican have elected Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina to be the new Pope. "The Cardinals have delivered a wonderful surprise to the world by choosing a Pope from Latin America, a part of the world where the Catholic Church is strong and committed to a new evangelization," Archbishop Coakley said. There are about 179,000 Catholics in Oklahoma.
