Likely voters in Oklahoma don't want horse slaughter, says poll.
A new SoonerPoll shows 66 percent of Oklahoma likely voters oppose passage of a horse slaughter bill. Of that number, pollster Bill Shapard says 88 percent strongly oppose the legislation. The poll also showed 72 percent of likely voters oppose having a horse slaughter facility in their local community. The recent telephone poll was commissioned by the Humane Society and the ASPCA, two groups that oppose horse slaughter. Results can be found at SoonerPoll.com.
