In memory of WWII chaplain.
The fellowship hall at Thunderbird Chapel at Camp Gruber will be dedicated Thursday in memory of Chaplain (Brig. Gen.) William E. King who served as a 45th Infantry Division chaplain during WWII. During the war, King was known for his willingness to risk his own life to attend to the spiritual needs of the troops in the field. The dedication ceremony will be held Thursday, July 25, at 2pm at the Camp Gruber Training Site.
