You know that Stone Temple Pilots will be in OKC on September 13th with Motley Crue and Hinder. But in case you missed the memo, Scott Weiland will not be on the bill. He's been fired from the band, and both Scott and the former members of STP have suits agains each other. Why you may ask??
Scott, who has been on the road for the last 10 months with his solo band The Wildabouts, yes it's a solo project, but he's been performing STP songs from both "Core" and "Purple" and it's ticking off his former bandmates, because they say he was trying to ruin their 20 year anniversary of "Core" so he could have all of the glory. Scott says the name STP is his, and he says that the band using Linkin Parks frontman Chester Bennington also is against the agrement made between the bands. So it should be interesting leading up to the show at the OKC Downtown Air Park on September 13. We'll be there for sure, and you can win your tickets from 94.7 The Brew.
Want to catch Scott's "Wildabouts" on the road this summer?? The tour goes through August 24th and coming to a city near you....
